Hotmails the way to go
Review of hotmail.com by lauzdoors

Advantages: Free emaill address/account. Easy to set up and use
Disadvantages: Sometimes it can be hard to log into your account

I really like hotmail.com it allows you to have a free email address, such as hotmail.co.uk or .com and live.co.uk. The hotmail service/ email adress is totally free to sign up for and literally only takes a couple of minutes. I find that hotmail is almost always likely to be raliable and accessible,as some sites tend to go down for periods making it difficult if not impossible to access your emails. There is no limit to how many email addresses ...
...and porfessional life seperate. Hotmail.com allows you to manage your files, folders and contacts all at the click of a button which i found very accommodating and an advantage. I find the layout for this email service very appealing,as everything is easy to find and save which in my opinion helps save you even more time. Hotmail.com is part of msn which is forever changing, updating and improving,so I honestly feel its a good email address/account ... Read review

fsmail.net - free email
Review of freeserve.com by thespurs

Advantages: Free, well set out and well maintained
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little slow

...into it by going to freeserve.com and type in your e-mail address and change the ending box(eg. fsmail.net). Now, you simply go to fsmail.net and type in your address and password and you are logged in. Registration is very simple and easy, you just complete these simple stages - Stage 1 - You can create your own e-mail address, e.g. dooyoo@fsmail.net. However, if somebody else already has that name you will have to choose another one. You then ...
...you forget your password. You then type in the numbers and digits that appear on the screen, a security feature that Wanadoo has. Then you enter your personal details, such as name and address. Stage 2 - The next page, gives you advice and tips on how to use your account to its maximum potential. For most people, this is fairly basic and you may choose to skip it. For those who are novices, it is really helpful and well organised advice. I found ... Read review

Talk21 - not recommended
Review of talk21.com by olivers

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Pay for POP3 | Poor Support

...and receive e-mails from the Talk21.com website." Well, it's April and the loss of POP3 hasn't happened yet so I guess his response was a 'cut-and-paste' job. Also, most of the features they offer to paying users are offered elsewhere. For example, any PC user worth their salt will have a decent Virus Checker so no advantage there. Mail forwarding? Why would you do that if you're paying Talk21 for their service? Mail Archiving, signature, ... Read review

Once good, now on the wane
Review of another.com by StrongTea

Advantages: Multiple addresses into one inbox, Well designed and easy to use, Excellent anti-spam settings
Disadvantages: Price increased too much, cannot pay online, Now seems to be neglected by the owners

Initially a free site, Another.com started to charge its customers in 2002. Most of us were more than satisfied with the service, so were happy to pay the small annual fee. For one thing, Another.com was not prone to the huge amount of spam mail that other web mail services suffered from. Also, it was well designed and the user had a wide choice of colour schemes Another advantage of the service was the function that allowed multiple email addresses ...
...the decline would halt and Another.com would be the great service it once was. At first, there were no noticeable differences. A banner then appeared on the login page promising "a sparking new Another.com". Well over a year later, the re-launch has yet to occur, and the same promise still appears on the site. The next time my subscription needed renewing (in 2007), I was told that they did not accept online payments - has anyone heard of any other ... Read review

Yahoo!!! unlimited space!!
Review of yahoo.com by doctorsmonsters

Advantages: Unlimited space, very easy to use.
Disadvantages: Alot of ads, needs a good browser.

Yahoo mail is one of the earliest web mail services on the internet. It has always been popular because of its simpler and user friendly interface. Initially it provided its user with 25mb space. Which, by today's standard, was very low but still, was more than its major competitor, hotmail. Now, it provides its users with UNLIMITED space! I mean who on earth would be able to receive such large amount of data through email! Keeping up with the ...
...much easier and simpler now. In addition to that, yahoo has combined its messenger service with the email. This way, you can chat with your contacts and check your email at the same time in the same browser window. Yahoo has now provided its user with an option of choosing the domain name in the email from a variety of new personalized domains, thus giving its user a more individual feel, an edge over other web mail providers. ...
